At the general meeting held in April 2025, members elected the new board of directors of the Association of Tourism Journalists of Chile (APTUR Chile) for the 2025–2027 term. This team, made up of leading professionals in the sector, will work to strengthen the association’s objectives and promote excellence in national tourism journalism.
Under the leadership of Dalma Díaz Pinto as President, APTUR Chile will continue its efforts to strengthen the association, promote specialized training, and defend the interests of professionals in the sector. Joining her, Rodrigo Salazar remains as First Vice President, contributing his strategic vision, while Macarena Velasco also continues as Second Vice President, reinforcing teamwork.

“The renewal of the board represents a valuable opportunity to consolidate the progress made and open new lines of work for the benefit of the sector. With a team that combines experience and fresh perspectives, the association’s role as a bridge between tourism professionals, institutions, and the community is strengthened. In a context where sustainable development and innovation are key, this new leadership comes at a crucial moment to continue positioning the association as a relevant player in building the kind of tourism we want for the country,” said the new national president, Dalma Díaz Pinto.
"As vice president, I deeply value the support of our members and the trust placed in us for this new phase. The renewal of the board is an opportunity to continue strengthening our association with a collaborative and renewed vision. Our commitment remains firm: to work toward a more sustainable, inclusive, and professionalized tourism sector, always hand in hand with our members and with a long-term strategic vision. “With this new board, we are redoubling our efforts to build partnerships, enhance training, and position tourism as a key pillar of local and national development,” said Rodrigo Salazar.
Financial management will be in the hands of Gustavo Salinas as Treasurer, ensuring transparency and soundness in the association’s resources, while Marisol Ortiz, in the role of Secretary, will oversee internal organization and communication with members.
In the area of professional development, Pablo Granell remains as Director of Training, promoting training programs to raise the standards of tourism journalism.
For her part, Paola Fernández retains her position as Director of Communications and will work to position APTUR Chile in the media and within the national and international industry through partnerships and initiatives that advance the work of members and the association.
Antonio Faúndes, past president of APTUR Chile, will also continue as an advisory board member, a role he has performed with efficiency and dedication over the past two terms with this board.
