Dea Chile, together with Sochiese (Chilean Society of Nursing and School Health), organized the Webinar: Challenges five years after the Defibrillator Law in Chile; this event was part of CardioPulmonary resuscitation month.
"The Chilean Society of School Health Nursing (SOCHIESE) works to promote health and well-being in Chilean schools, while DEACHILE focuses on advancing toward a cardio-protected society. Together, we believe in the importance of educating and preparing educational communities to respond to cardiac emergencies, creating a safer environment for everyone".
The scientific society Sochiese states: "As school nurses, we firmly believe in education within schools from early childhood".
Among the speakers was the outstanding participation of Stella de Luigi, School Nurse and Past President of SOCHIESE, who spoke about the Effective Management of Cardiac Emergencies in an Educational Establishment.
The session also covered other topics such as:
- Defibrillator equipment without maintenance.
- Use of alternative electrodes.
- Absence of staff trained in CPR.
- Lack of a Cardioprotection program.
