Perhaps your approach, being a scientific society, tends to lean toward the concrete or practical, but when you unite this world with the audiovisual world, a very interesting integration is born: External Communications.

External communications are, metaphorically, like the front yard of your house and a large window through which one can see a bit of what is inside.

It is very important that your presentation video not only talks about the society itself, but also showcases your communication and public relations skills, since your organization will be the one representing the magnifying glass that projects the light of your members; therefore, your capabilities and skills.

Imagine it as the Justice League from those 80s cartoons;

Each one has their ability, and despite the thousands of debates that exist about "who could be better than another"... time passes and it even extends to the "current superheroes"

Are you for Thor or Superman?

This metaphor helps you a lot to understand that each member has their potential and is currently doing something very valuable in their work and environment; therefore, my call through this article is for you to appreciate the tremendous potential (and responsibility) that your board has in its hands; and in some way I would suggest implementing this point in your presentation video, either with images or even a brief speech addressed to your current members.

Without further ado, here are 5 tips that could help you create your institution's video:

BONUS ? : Suggestions to further optimize the context of the video and turn it into a strategy for your social media:

Heritage:
Share the importance of building a solid corporate identity for your society over time. Show historical achievements and recent highlights on your social media. For example: if you have old photos from when the society was founded, or from board handovers, take advantage of all these moments and turn them into social media content;
By the way: for years there has been a trend of reposting past content on Thursdays with the hashtag #tbt, the English acronym for Throwback Thursday.

Emphasize human connection and benefits:
Design some content illustrating how your society facilitates interaction between members and highlight the benefits of being part of it (you can create infographics or short videos, for example of: birthday anniversaries, celebration events, establishing a "Zoom clinic" — that is, every so often each month members can share experiences and regulatory procedures and present cases facing certain challenges that others in your community have managed to solve in certain ways, transmitting that knowledge to other members who may be going through the same).

Create community:
Interact with your followers during the week; schedule it and highlight that your society is a community in which each member plays an important role. Show photos and videos of events and networking sessions, and in the description of the post or reel write about the importance this event had; and add testimonials or quotes from those who attended or presented (if you do not have testimonials from the event, I suggest implementing it, either by adding them as testimonials in your event recap videos, or doing it manually in writing).

Creativity + technology + feedback:
Create "semi-interactive" videos that invite your members to explore more on your website and show relevant links; also run polls on your social media about topics they would like the society to address (avoid waiting for the next meetings or members assembly and do it throughout the year; this way you will get more feedback on what your community wants on your social media).
